DIY : Decorate your miniature Nutcracker

The Nutcracker is the famous wooden toy from the ballet of the same name by the Russian composer Tchaikovsky. It will be a pleasant manual activity to share with children aged 8 and over. Your Nutcracker will fit perfectly into your Christmas decoration.

Material: 

Wooden character Nutcracker to paint 13 cm

Acrylic paint set, basic colours 12 x 12

Golden metallic acrylic paint

Set of 5 universal brushes

Can be made with the Nutcracker figure in wood to be painted and hung 5.5 cm.

Step 1: 

Using your n°8 flat brush, paint the bust, arms and base of the Nutcracker in red.

Step 2:

Paint the bust, arms and base of the Nutcracker in red. With your n°8 pointed brush, paint the legs and create a triangle pointing upwards at the bottom of the bust.

Step 3:

Paint the legs and create a triangle pointing upwards at the bottom of the bust. Clean and wipe your brush with absorbent paper. With the black paint, paint the boots and hat of The Nutcracker.

You can also make a moustache with the precise n°3 pointed brush.

Step 4: 

With this same brush, after washing it with water and wringing it out well in absorbent paper, apply metallic gold paint on the shoulders, create fine lines between each colour and buttons on the bust.

Leave to dry for 3 hours. Your Nutcracker is ready to be integrated into your decoration!
