To get a trendy crackled look on your painted objects with Chalky Chalk Paint or other water-based paints, as follows: Paint the surface with Chalky Chalk Paint and let it dry thoroughly, then apply crackle varnish (with a thick coat for coarse cracks, or a thin coat for fine cracks).
